Embark on this unique escorted trip for a 9-night journey to Vilnius, Riga, Tallinn and Helsinki, capital cities of the Baltic nations. Begin in the Lithuanian capital, Vilnius, a medieval city of 48 churches and where your tour includes architectural and historic monuments such as classical Vilnius Cathedral and Vilnius University. A drive north takes you to Latvia’s capital, Riga, the largest city of the 3 former Soviet Republics and where your city tour features the Old Town sites. Overland travel further north to Tallinn, Estonia’s capital, and discover the historical Tallinn on a morning tour. After 2 cozy evenings in the medieval Tallinn, take a ferry across the Baltic Sea and disembark at Helsinki, Finland. Tour the main sites of cathedral, harbor, parliament, squares and monuments. Day 1, Sunday – Vilnius
Arrive in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, and transfer on your own to your hotel. (Radisson Blu Lietuva or similar)

Day 2, Monday - Vilnius
Vilnius is known for its more than 1,200 medieval buildings and 48 churches. After breakfast, the morning sightseeing tour includes a panoramic tour of the city and a walking tour of the Old Town with Vilnius Cathedral, Gediminas Tower, Peter and Paul Church, St. Anne’s Church, Old University and the Gates of Dawn. (B)

Day 3, Tuesday – Vilnius/Riga
After breakfast, head for Riga, the first stop is the Hill of Crosses, one of the most holy sites of Catholic Lithuania. After crossing into Latvia, reach the magnificent Rundale Palace, the former summer residence of the Duke of Courland. After a guided tour of the palace, travel through the rolling hills of Southern Latvia to reach Riga in late afternoon and check in at hotel. (Wellton Riverside or similar) (B)

Day 4, Wednesday - Riga
Founded in 1201 by the German bishop Albert, Riga is the largest of the three Baltic capitals and boasts a real kaleidoscope of architectural styles. After breakfast, this morning’s walking tour of the Old Town includes Riga Castle, the Dome Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church, the Swedish Gate, the Three Brothers, the Large and Small Guilds and the Freedom Monument. (B)

Day 5, Thursday – Riga
Breakfast at the hotel. Day at leisure to explore Latvia on your own or take optional tours. (B)

Day 6, Friday – Riga/Tallinn
After breakfast today, the tour continues along the coastal highway to the Estonian summer resort of Parnu, where you take a short tour of the resort. Continue through the North Estonian land of forests and arrive in Tallinn early afternoon. Check in at hotel. (Radisson Blu Olympia or similar)

Day 7, Saturday - Tallinn
Tallinn is a charming blend of medieval tranquility and modern urban life. The medieval Old Town is a busy place in the summer with its many shops, galleries, souvenir markets, outdoor cafés and restaurants. After breakfast, take a morning sightseeing tour around the old medieval city walls and into the Old Town to see Toompea Castle, Dome Church, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, medieval Old Town Hall and Great Guild Hall. (B)

Day 8, Sunday – Tallinn/Helsinki
Breakfast at the hotel. Time at leisure today until the ferry to Helsinki, or take the optional tour to Lahemaa National Park. Take the ferry to Helsinki and enjoy a refreshing tour through the Finnish archipelago before arriving in Helsinki. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel and check in. (Hotel Glo Art or similar) (B)

Day 9, Monday - Helsinki
Helsinki is truly located at the crossroads of Western and Eastern culture, and this is reflected everywhere in the green and lively Finnish capital. After breakfast, take a morning sightseeing tour around the harbors and the Senate Square with the Lutheran Cathedral, up central Mannerheim Street and by the Parliament Building, Finlandia Hall, and the Sibelius Monument, and a visit to the famous Church-in-the-Rock.  (B)

Day 10, Tuesday – Depart Helsinki
Transfer on your own to the airport for your departure flight. (B)
